Built with the intention of sharing my knowledge and insights on fundamental reading skills with parents with young children. I hope to re-introduce all forgotten reading skills and encourage grown-ups to become more curious and joyful in their learning to better support their emergent readers.

After receiving 100+ hours of reading skills training as a classroom teacher I was shocked to realize I had almost no memory of ever learning these skills in elementary school myself.  As I began discussing my memory gaps with my family and friends I discovered I wasn't alone (thank goodness). I’m here to guide you through the ins and outs of learning how to read with videos, free resources and a break down of each skill.
